About

Hello!

I’m an island girl living in Sin City with an irresistibly funny man and two quirky kids. I love spa’s but not hair salons, the gym but not the shopping mall. I’m a foodie who is allergic to far too many foods.  I was once told that I think like only 2% of the population, so I’ve been on a search to find this enlightened remnant. I believe innocence is one of the greatest commodities, but  is often in shortest supply. I’m amazed by grace.

Us

I love helping my family become the most amazing versions of themselves they can be. I also have a passion to mentor young women and help guide them along the twists and turns of our crazy world. Growing up in the 80’s was so much simpler.

One of my passions is writing and I am the author of the soon-to-be published book, Altared Egos : Making your 15 minutes count for Eternity. (Release date: August 2014) It addresses the subject of church leadership in the age of social media. It’s time to redeem social media and use it to make Jesus famous.

I also write about my family in a series called Stepping in Love. I love writing about social justice and whatever happens to cross my mind at any given moment.

If you enjoy the content here, please head back to my home page and follow my blog to get regular updates by email. And of course, be sure to comment on my blog posts. I would love to hear from you and get your feedback. I’m looking forward to getting to you know better.

Have a wonderful day!

  1. Hi, Island Girl – I’m an island boy; born and raised on the island of Key West, FL to be exact 🙂

Where are you originally from? And thanks for following my ‘Publishing/Writing: Insights, News, Intrigue’ blog.

    John

    • Hey John, I’m originally from Tortola, British Virgin Islands, moved to Canada as a child, then lived in Bermuda for 8 years. I’m still not sure how I feel about being land-locked.

I’m looking forward to learning more about the publishing process. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve read so far.

      Cheers,
      Gail
